American Kathleen Baker wins world record in 100m backstroke event, 58 seconds win


America's Livia Smolgia second and Reagan Smith ranked third

Irwin (America) American woman swimmer Cathleen Baker won the 100 m backstroke event in the US swimming championship. Baker took 58.00 seconds to win this win. She became the woman who won the 100 meter backstroke event in the shortest possible time. Before that, Canada's Kelly Mess took 58.10 seconds in the world championship in Budapest last year.

Olympic medal was won in 2016: Baker won the silver medal in the 2016 Olympic Games in the 100m backstroke. Baker was in the 200m backstroke this week with Reagan Smith in the first place. He first took 27.90 seconds in the first 50 meters, which declared him the winner. After Baker in 100m backstroke, Olivia Smolgia finished second with 58.75 seconds and Reagan Smith finished third with 58.83 seconds.
